<dcterms:description><![CDATA[Here's part of a scrapbook I'm making that documents my life in 2020. This page is about summer travels - home to Germany for my husband and for me mostly to places in my head. We had hoped to go to Greece, so I included small images of that. The background map is somewhere in Asia, where I hope to travel in the next few years. ]]></dcterms:description>

<dcterms:description><![CDATA[In the format of a newspaper, this project brings together several different perspectives on the topic of uniqueness. Looking from a Christian, Buddhist, Scientific, Psychologist, and a few other lenses, I explored if individuals should embrace their quirks and differences or if it's more beneficial to bend to a group standard, or if there is a middle marker between the two. I also include a podcast that takes a more personal and anecdotal analysis of uniqueness, that should be considered in conjunction with this newspaper. ]]></dcterms:description>

<dcterms:description><![CDATA[Portraits of Now is an altered artist’s book that reflects themes and challenges of 2020 in America, mainly focused on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The original book, or the canvas, is titled The Portraits of John Howard Sanden (2001). Portraits of Now plays with the solitary medium of portraiture to portray the loneliness that has accompanied the pandemic. In the altered version of the book, Sanden's collection of portraits has been modified to provide the context of the U.S.'s year while also representing several pandemic identities: the researcher, the Senator, the waiter/everyman, the luxurious stay-at-homer, the nurse, the family, the grey suit, the preacher, the spreader, and the patient. ]]></dcterms:description>
